Alvin W. Leung practices primarily in the areas of tax litigation, civil litigation, and corporate law.  Alvin has also successfully represented clients in various employment disputes, landlord tenant disputes, corporate amalgamations and contract disputes.

Prior to starting his own firm, Alvin practiced in a boutique tax litigation firm in Windsor, Ontario, where he represented clients ranging from individuals to medium sized corporations.

Outside of his legal practice, Alvin volunteers at various community charities and is an avid dragonboat racer.

Syrah Y. Yusuf practices primarily in the areas of corporate law and wills and estates law.  She has experience handling the purchase and sale of franchised businesses, tax roll over agreements, obtaining Estates Court Certificates and the Passing of Accounts in estates matters dealing with minors, out of country and out of province beneficiaries, as well as litigation support.

Prior to joining Erudite Law, Syrah gained experience in corporate law, wills and estates law, real estate law, family law and civil and tax litigation.

Outside of her legal practice, Syrah is an avid reader and a creative writer and likes to spend time with her 2 nieces and nephew.

Ben Brillantes, Student Intern

Ben Brillantes is our summer intern here at Erudite Law.  Ben will be focusing his time assisting with legal research projects, drafting memorandums of law, and social media management.

Prior to joining Erudite Law, Ben spent many years developing his research and analytic skills as a student of global politics both in Canada as well as internationally.  Graduating from the International Relations program at the University of Windsor, Ben’s dedication and persistence was rewarded by making the Dean’s List for three consecutive years.

Although Ben’s ultimate desire is to pursue a career in law in the near future, he intends to return to the University of Windsor in 2018 to obtain his Master’s Degree in Political Science.  Ben has a keen interest in corporate law and immigration law, and desires to assist new and recent immigrants in settling in to their new environment.

During his spare time, Ben enjoys both reading and watching documentaries on world history, as well as playing board games.
